Caroline Foster approached me asking if I would write a duet for her and her partner to perform in her senior recital. When I asked what she wanted it to be about she said, "I want it to be about two people of different personalities coming falling in love." What stuck out to me the most was the word "personalities" because knowing the couple, they have two very different personalities. Falling in love isn't always movie perfect and there's often a lot of back and forth and bickering, which you can hear in the music, but overall you can hear the story of two people finding each other and finding love.
